Who we are

This website, maisonmilan.ae, is operated by Maison Milan, 2 Gold Souq, Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("Maison Milan", "we", "us"). We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. We handle it in line with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data and other applicable laws.

Our online store is hosted by Shopify, which processes data on our behalf to run the store and checkout.

What we collect

• Contact and delivery details: your name, email address, phone number and billing and delivery addresses.
• Order details: what you buy, return or exchange, and your order history.
• Payment details: payments are processed securely by our payment providers. We do not see or store your full card number.
• Account details: if you create an account, your login details and preferences.
• Messages: what you tell us when you contact us by email, WhatsApp, phone, our contact form or our concierge, Brera.
• Device and usage data: your IP address, browser and device type, and how you use the site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

How we use your data

• To process, deliver and support your orders, returns and refunds.
• To reply to your questions and provide customer service.
• To send you news and offers by email, only if you have agreed to receive them.
• To keep the site and payments secure and to prevent fraud.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We use your data to perform our contract with you, to comply with the law, with your consent (for example for marketing emails and non-essential cookies), or where it is otherwise permitted under UAE law.

Who we share it with

• Shopify, which hosts our store and checkout;
• payment providers, to take payment securely;
• delivery partners, to deliver your order;
• messaging and email services, such as WhatsApp when you choose to message us there;
• analytics and advertising services, to measure and improve the site, where you have allowed it;
• authorities, where the law requires it.

Cookies

We use cookies that the store needs to work (for example to keep your cart), and, with your permission, cookies that help us understand visits and show relevant advertising. You can manage cookies in your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working.

Where your data is stored

Some of our service providers, including Shopify, store and process data outside the UAE. When your data is transferred abroad, we rely on those providers' safeguards to keep it protected, as permitted under UAE law.

How long we keep it

We keep your data only as long as we need it for the purposes above: for example, order records for as long as required for tax and accounting, and marketing preferences until you unsubscribe.

Under UAE law you can ask us to:

• delete your data, where we are not required to keep it;

• withdraw your consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing from our emails.

Children

Our site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has shared their data with us, please contact us and we will delete it.
